76th Street Residence
Design for an Upper West Side brownstone was elemental in activating the outdoor space for its residents, where the ground floor garden becomes a landscape for everyday use.
Features include a double-sided ipe fence made from FSC certified wood, built-in stone planters, bluestone paving, and a salvaged old brownstone gate re-appropriated as a mounted trellis. An outdoor kitchen, built-in bench, and storage cabinets contribute to the livability and functionality of the space.
Outside the children’s third floor bedroom, a smaller green roof terrace, quaintly planted with climbing hydrangea, provides an additional green space.
