Wooster Street Residence
The sun-drenched wood deck area and ample lawn space are ideally paired for the roofscape of this historically preserved building in Manhattan. Three built-up planter boxes made from sustainable ipe hold sculptural Japanese maple and English elm trees which add focal points to the garden design while providing shade. Materials and supplies including twenty-four tons of topsoil, river rock, drainage materials, and plantings were carted up six stories to create this penthouse garden.
