Gil holds a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State and lived in Orlando for five years where he designed master planned communities, resorts, and theme parks before moving to NYC. Since moving in 2010 he has been a supervisor for the Million Trees NYC project, started a community garden in Long Island City, and teaches an Intro to Greenroofs class at CUNY.
